Christine Schofield

Christine is an Education Consultant who has extensive experience of school improvement. She is a history specialist who has been the Head of History in two schools and the Head of Humanities in two others. In addition she has been a History Adviser for a Local Authority.As a Senior Local Authority Adviser, School Improvement Partner and National Challenge Adviser, as well as National Strategies School improvement Regional Adviser, she has extensive experience of working with schools in challenging circumstances to effect improvements. Her current work includes both leading and coordinating reviews and school improvement for large consortia, providing School Improvement Support for a Local Authority and School Improvement Partner Support for a number of schools. These schools range from being outstanding all the way through to inadequate. She also has considerable inspection experience. Christine is a very experienced trainer who offers tailored training on a wide range of issues to suit all levels of audience.

Matthew West 

Matthew is a qualified teacher and serving secondary school Principal in West Yorkshire. Previously he was an Acting Head teacher in North Yorkshire.  He has considerable senior leadership and management experience in a variety of settings where his strategic responsibilities have included:  standards in teaching, learning and assessment; curriculum; raising achievement; quality assurance and leadership development.  He also holds a MA in Leadership and Management in Education; the NPQH and is currently working towards attaining the NPQEL qualification.  Matthew has a background in executive coaching and has worked with a number of senior leaders 1 to 1, focussing on: situational leadership approaches; behavioural and relationship challenges; linguistics and positive psychology.Matthew routinely works across the region in secondary schools inspecting for Ofsted. He uses these, and other, experiences to support senior leaders, in a number of schools and MATs, evaluate their school improvement priorities, and their preparations for inspection, more effectively.

Janet Lunn

Janet has had over thirty years’ experience working in primary schools. She has been Headteacher in both a large nursery and infant and a through primary school. Both schools achieved an outstanding grade from Ofsted under her leadership and Janet was awarded National Leader status in 2013. Since leaving headship, Janet has spent three years working in over 100 schools, reviewing school performance and making recommendations for improvements. Janet is an independent consultant working across four primary academies within the trust.

Janet has been heavily involved in initial teacher training, working with groups of students to help them reflect upon and improve their performance. Strengths include; early years, parental involvement, curriculum design, developing leaders and school development work. Janet is passionate about improving the life chances of all children, particularly those from deprived backgrounds.
