Is legally responsible for the Trust, the Academies and their governance.
Is responsible for its own processes in line with the legal requirements as set down in the Articles of Association and the Master Funding Agreement.
Has legal responsibility for statutory compliance.
May delegate responsibilities to the LABs and to senior executives.
Is responsible for succession planning and the recruitment of the Trust Chair, Board members to ensure an appropriate balance of skills and effectiveness.
Is responsible for its own training and new member induction.
Is responsible for evaluating its own processes and effectiveness. |
Is responsible for carrying out delegated duties from the board. |
Acts on behalf of the Boards to enable them to discharge their duties in relation to statutory compliance and the performance of academies.
Is responsible for supporting the Boards and LABs with their training and new member induction.
Is responsible for providing the Boards and LABs with advice and guidance to help them improve and evaluate their processes and effectiveness.
Provides administrative support for the Boards.
Provides effective clerking for the boards. |
Is responsible for its own processes in line with the legal requirements as set down in the Articles of Association, the Master and Supplementary Funding Agreement.
Is responsible for succession planning and the recruitment of LAB members to ensure an appropriate balance of skills and effectiveness.
Appoints the LAB chair and vice chair from amongst their membership.
Is responsible for its own training and new member induction.
Is responsible for evaluating its own processes and effectiveness.
Represents the LAB when required on Trust wide Boards – e.g. health and safety. |
Act as a Governor on the LAB.
Responsible for training and effective operation of the LAB.
Responsible for building an effective relationship with the Clerk.
Ensuring LABs receive papers in advance of meetings.
Ensuring meetings are carried out in line with this SoD.
