LOCAL ACADEMY BOARD

PRINCIPAL

Develops the overall strategic vision for South Pennine Academies and the individual academies.

 

Approves the individual Academy strategic plans and annual KPI’s.

 

 

Review periodically progress towards achieving the AIP goals.

 

Review KPIs prior to board approval.

 

Reviews self-evaluation and provides challenge when required.

 

Provides professional support and encouragement to the academy in developing and implementing its strategic plan and self-evaluation.

 

Agree the curriculum annually.

 

Is responsible for implementing the Boards’ strategic vision.

 

Is responsible for providing templates and support for strategic documents.

 

Is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Boards’ strategic vision as it applies to the school.

 

Together with the Principal is responsible for developing the academy’s 3-5-year Strategic Plan (AIP) for approval by the Trust Board.

 

Together with the Principal oversees the development and regular updating of the Academy’s annual plan (AIP).

 

Acting as a critical friend when scrutinising the self-evaluation.

 

Set and review of the curriculum to be agreed with the CEO.

 

Together with the LAB is responsible for developing the Academy’s 5-year Strategic Plan for approval by the Trust Board.

 

Together with the LAB is responsible for developing the Academy’s annual Improvement/Development Plan.

 

Is responsible for implementing the 5-year strategic plan and the annual Academy Improvement Plan (AIP).

 

Responsible for writing the annual self-evaluation.
